The Epson EcoTank Pro ET-5850 is an excellent printer for the small or home office, with a supertank ink system for outstanding page yield and cost per print. Compared to most of the other supertank printers we've tested, it prints very quickly, and its photo printing speed is impressive.

Epson rates this printer at a speed of 25 pages per minute for ISO documents, both monochrome and color. For duplex printing, I noticed the speed reduced to 21 pages per minute for both printing options. While unmatched by laser printers, the ET-5850's inkjet speed was excellent and reliable for tight deadlines.

This heavy duty printer is specially designed to meet the needs of small to medium businesses. For this reason, the manufacturer has planted four input options, including double paper cassettes, rear feeder and automatic document feeder. The back feed can be used for specialty paper and holds up to 50 sheets.

The Epson ET-5850 offers many connectivity options to redefine your printing experience. Standard connectivity includes high-speed USB, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth Lite Edition, Ethernet, and Wi-Fi Direct. The latter allows peer-to-peer connections to connect the printer to your tablet or smartphone.
